Mike's Crown Caps Collection!

Long ago... so the story of my crown caps collection starts. At the rise of the 1990's my brother-in-law wanted to play skat and my father bought some bottles of beer. By chance they were different and as we played happily (and emptied the bottles), I realized that the caps were not blank.

So I put the caps on my bookcase and started looking for the colorful caps every time I was shopping. The collection grows and when the bookcase was filled up, I started to glue the caps to small nails (with a glue gun) to pin them to a cork board (sorted).nagel.jpg 1kB

deckel5.jpg 3kB deckel6.jpg 3kB Today I have over 15.533 (many thanks to Art Z. for no. 10.000 and Udo for no. 12.000 and Guido for no. 13.000 and me for no. 15.000 ;-)) ... from 151 different countries and I hope the collection will continue to grow ;-)

The latest (very outdated!!) list (28.02.2005) as PDF-file: deckel62.pdf

(Tip: right mouse button to save it as a file and look at it later (with Acrobat Reader)).

(I need the caps - marked with * or ** - in a good condition)

I am happy about every cap I get (it's a pitty that caps can't be sent by email ;-)).

Many thanks for your help!!!

2001 I got the ultimate opener as a birthday present. It opens the caps without a bend or dent. With a lighter I always hurt my fingers (I'm a Non-smoker ;-).

perfect opener :-)

Thanks to my small freeware program (T.W.U.S.) (the program is "crown caps ware" at least) I was able - with the help of some friendly users - to expand my collection. Even from Thailand I got some caps :-)

The last visits in Bavaria and Denmark, the trading by internet and with the help from friends and colleagues the number of caps rose remarkable.

By the way: I collect juice, water, lemon and cola caps too (if they have the typical look)...

Please see the collection in my workroom =>
